Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy both helped Republic of Ireland secure a 3-1 World Cup qualifying win against Moldova on Sunday evening.
Coleman wore the captain’s armband and completed the full game as Ireland moved on to seven points from their first three Group D matches.
McCarthy played 80 minutes in Chisinau - his second outing since recovering from a groin injury.
Shane Long and James McClean (2) were the goalscorers for Martin O’Neill’s side, with Coleman providing the assist for Ireland’s third goal in the 76th minute.
Also in Group D, Ashley Williams skippered Wales to a 1-1 draw with Georgia in Cardiff.
