Dan Donachie has been appointed to Marco Silva’s backroom team as Head of Therapy Services, with Bruno Mendes also being confirmed as Head of Performance.
Donachie was previously Everton’s Head of Medicine prior to his departure from the Club in 2014. Most recently, he was Head of Medicine and Sports Science at Aston Villa. He is the son of former Blues Assistant Manager Willie Donachie, who won the FA Cup with Everton in 1995.
Mendes has worked in a similar role for Benfica to the one he has taken up with the Toffees. He will work alongside Assistant Manager João Pedro Sousa, First-Team Coach Duncan Ferguson, Goalkeeping Coach Hugo Oliveira and Fitness Coach Pedro Conceição on Silva’s coaching staff.
