Dominic Calvert-Lewin could barely contain his delight after making his Premier League debut against Arsenal, despite admitting it came a little earlier than he expected.
The young striker, signed from Sheffield United in the summer, replaced Enner Valencia with 11 minutes left to play and the Blues searching for a winner.
It was Calvert-Lewin’s leap from Leighton Baines’ free-kick that forced the Gunners into conceding the corner from which Ashley Williams secured the win at Goodison Park.
