Dominic Calvert Lewin in fitness race as Everton striker tries to prove his worth before deal expires with David Moyes lining up his replacement

Everton striker Dominic Calvert Lewin is expected to step up his training with the first team this week and stake a claim for a return to action against Ipswich Town on Saturday.

The 28-year old is out of contract this summer and has still to determine his next career move, with the prospect of staying at Everton not completely ruled out.

Everton manager David Moyes is looking for a new centre forward for next season and has expressed interest in Liam Delap of Saturday's opponents Ipswich but will face fierce competition on that front with Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle all pushing to sign him.
