DCL At The Double In England Under-21s Triumph

Dominic Calvert-Lewin came off the bench to hit a brace as England Under-21s romped to a 5-1 victory over Denmark in Esbjerg.

The Everton striker netted the young Lions’ fourth and fifth goals in the friendly international after replacing Manchester City playmaker Phil Foden with half an hour to play.

First, he tapped home after good work from Arsenal forward Reiss Nelson on 81 minutes, before winning and converting a penalty five minutes later to complete the scoring.

Kieran Dowell played 90 minutes for Aidy Boothroyd’s side and, after Demarai Gray put England ahead, the Everton Academy graduate set up England’s second of the night.
