In the 11 months since he was sacked by Leeds United, Marcelo Bielsa has kept a characteristically low profile. Yet the few times he has been spotted say it all about the man and manager.
On one rare sighting, Bielsa was pictured queuing at a bus stop in Uruguay. The humble 67-year-old has never been one for luxury travel and regularly made the three-mile journey from his one-bedroom flat in Wetherby to Leeds’ Thorp Arch training ground on foot.
In November, it emerged that the Argentinian had taken time out of a trip to Norway to meet the Leeds United Supporters Club of Scandinavia.
