Seamus Coleman says Everton boss Sam Allardyce has challenged his players to finish off the season in style – starting by triumphing in the 231st Merseyside derby this weekend.
The Republic of Ireland international praised the Blues boss for “steadying the ship” since joining the Club in late November – and insisted players and management are determined to build momentum between now and the end of the campaign, with victory against city rivals Liverpool at Goodison Park on Saturday the immediate target.
“When the manager came in we were in a very tough situation,” Coleman said.
