'Character And Personality' Delights Southern After Under-18s' Comeback Win

Everton Under-18s assistant manager Keith Southern said his side showed “character and personality” after they came from behind to beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at USM Finch Farm on Saturday.

Ellis Simms and Ryan Astley were on target for the Toffees, who now sit top of the U18 Premier League having secured victories in each of their first three games.
The young Blues went into half-time 1-0 down against Boro, with Jack Robinson putting the north-east side ahead just after the 30-minute mark.

Everton flew out of the blocks in the second-half, however, and Simms’ pinpoint left-foot finish levelled things up two minutes after the break.
