Burnley have offered a contract to free agent Andros Townsend and held talks with Troyes over winger Wilson Odobert.
Clarets defender Luke McNally is wanted on loan by Stoke.
He had a loan spell at Coventry in the second half of last season.
Townsend has been without a club since his departure from Everton earlier this summer.
The winger has featured for Burnley during pre-season.
