Pat Nevin says Yannick Bolasie can inject “power and pace” into Everton’s team when the winger is ready to make his keenly-anticipated return from injury.
Bolasie has been sidelined since damaging his cruciate knee ligament against Manchester United in December last year – but is steadily edging his way back to full fitness.
The DR Congo international is stepping up his rehabilitation regime at USM Finch Farm this week, albeit he is not yet ready to be involved in sessions with his first-team colleagues.
Bolasie has nevertheless made significant strides in his recovery after twice undergoing surgery on his right knee following the injury he suffered playing only his 15th game for the Blues.
