Friday proved a successful day for Everton’s international contingent as plenty of Blues were in action for their respective countries.
There were wins from Maarten Stekelenburg and Holland, plus the Toffees’ Belgian duo Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas.
Blues striker Lukaku netted goal number four as the Red Devils thumped Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-0 in their World Cup qualifier, his 20th for Belgium. Mirallas, meanwhile, made a late cameo as a second half substitute in the Group H clash.
Everton keeper Stekelenburg played the full 90 minutes as he helped Netherlands to a comfortable 4-1 success over Belarus in World Cup qualifying Group A.
