David Unsworth has promised his Everton squad “are giving everything” to turn their season around – and believes victory over Watford on Sunday can breathe fresh life into their campaign.
The Toffees go into the Premier League clash with the Hornets at Goodison without a win in eight matches. As an Academy graduate who went on to make more than 300 first-team appearances for his beloved Blues, Unsworth knows his “players have to step up” to meet the “demands of this football club”.
But the former defender insists the run of results is not down to a lack of effort, and he is confident getting the better of Marco Silva’s men this weekend can pave the way for putting the Club’s season back on track.
