Besic Progressing Well

Ronald Koeman has revealed that Muhamed Besic is making good progress in his recovery from a long-term knee injury.

The midfielder tore his anterior cruciate ligament against Manchester United at Old Trafford in early August and, subsequently, underwent reconstructive surgery.

Koeman explained at the time an injury of that nature usually requires a recovery period of at least six months.

The Everton manager has been impressed with Besic’s mental approach in the time since and the positive attitude he has taken to his recovery, despite such a setback.

Koeman said: “He’s progressing well.
