Abdoulaye Doucoure claims the Premier League is the 'BEST league for Muslims to be in'... as the Everton midfielder insists he feels 'very confident and accepted' with his faith in England, unlike in France

Abdoulaye Doucoure has claimed the Premier League is the 'best league for Muslims to be in' ahead of the Everton midfielder beginning Ramadan on Wednesday evening.

The Mali midfielder came through the youth ranks at Rennes in France, before moving to England when he joined Watford in 2016. He spent four years at Vicarage Road, racking up 141 appearances, when Doucoure then made a £20m move to Everton.

In the Islamic faith, Ramadan is a holy month, where Muslims will fast during daylight hours and aim to connect with their religion.
