1. Eliaquim’s full name is Eliaquim Hans Mangala, Eliaquim being a biblical name meaning “God raises” or “God sets up”.
2. He was born in the Parisian suburb of Colombes to Congolese parents but has never played for a club in his homeland. His family moved to the French-speaking Belgian city of Namur when he was just five-years-old and it was there he began playing football with local club AC Lustin.
