CLARKSVILLE – A goal on each side of the half proved the difference on Sunday as the University of Evansville women's soccer team fell 2-0 to host Austin Peay on a sweltering afternoon at Morgan Brothers Soccer Field.

"We didn't have the right mentality," UE head coach Krista McKendree said. "You can't blame the conditions or the heat because both teams played in it. Our mentality wasn't good today, and that's why weren't able to get in a position to win this game."

After taking control of games in the early goings in each of the first three matches of the year, UE (1-3-0) found themselves on the back foot early, with only a pair of goal line clearances from freshman defender Samantha Brown keeping the contest level after 12 minutes.
