MILL SPRINGS, N.C. – Mallory Russell and Kate Petrova led the University of Evansville women's golf team in the opening day of the Bright Creek Women's Invite at Bright's Creek Club.
Russell opened the day with an 83 before carding a 74 in round two. Her second-round total was the lowest for the team on Saturday. Her score is a 157. Full individual and team standings are not available at this time.
Petrova completed Saturday's 36 holes just one behind Russell. Rounds of 80 and 78 put her at a 158. Allison Enchelmayer is third for the team with a 161.
