SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Evansville women's golf team opened the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate with a team score of 330 as the Purple Aces are eighth after the first round at Sevierville Golf Club in Sevierville, Tenn.
Evansville opened the tournament with a 330 putting UE eighth after the opening day. Leading the intercollegiate is Jacksonville State who carded a 299 as a team as the Gamecocks grabbed a seven-stroke advantage over second-place Marshall after the first round.
Leading the Purple Aces after the opening round was Madison Chaney who recorded a 78 on the first day placing Chaney in a tie for 17th.
