CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – In an impressive showing in the classroom, the University of Evansville women's golf team was recognized by the Women's Golf Coaches Association in an announcement by the organization on Wednesday.
As a team, the Purple Aces completed the school year with a team GPA of 3.715. That was tied for the 13th-best in the nation and tops in the Missouri Valley Conference.
"This is such a great achievement for our team," UE head golf coach Jim Hamilton said. "It shows just how hard our girls have been working. They put so much effort into their performance in the classroom and on the course and it is great to see their work pay off.
