Women's basketball road trip hits midway point at Austin Peay

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - In its second of three non-conference road games in six days, the University of Evansville women's basketball team takes on Austin Peay on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Clarksville, Tennessee.

The Purple Aces battled Western Kentucky on Thursday night in Bowling Green, Kentucky, falling 92-54. Despite a slow start, Evansville kept pace with the Hilltoppers in the second and third quarters as the Aces were narrowly outscored by WKU, 49-42, in the second and third frames. The Aces showed flashes in the third quarter, outscoring WKU, 23-21, in the period. Redshirt sophomore guard Marley Miller led Evansville with a career-high 17 points , while junior guard Kerri Gasper added 15 and graduate guard Hannah Noe chipped-in 13.
