EVANSVILLE, Ind.— Reigning first-team all-Southeastern Conference forward Raegan Kelley recorded a goal and an assist on Thursday night to power the visiting Vanderbilt University Commodores to a 3-0 victory over the University of Evansville women's soccer team at Arad McCutchan Stadium in Evansville, Indiana.
After the two sides battled back and forth for the first 30 minutes, Kelley set up teammate Rachel Deresky for an opportunity on the right side, which she slipped past a diving UE goalkeeper Myia Danek for the match's first goal of the contest.
Vanderbilt took a 1-0 lead to the halftime locker room, before striking just minutes into the second half, as reserve Caroline Betts found the lower-left 90 from 18 yards out on the left side to take a 2-0 lead.
