EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Evansville senior forward Emily Ormson (Folsom, Calif./Vista Del Lago HS) has been named to the Missouri Valley Conference's Preseason Team in a vote of the league's coaches.
Ormson, who earned first team All-MVC honors in 2021 after leading UE in scoring with seven goals and 16 points, was one of 17 players selection to the Preseason Team. She was the lone UE representative on the Valley's Preseason Team.
Valparaiso earned the top spot in the league's preseason poll with eight first-place votes. Evansville, meanwhile, was voted fifth in the 11-team MVC, just one point shy of fourth place and five points shy of third.
