EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Evansville rising junior swimmer Alon Baer (Gesher Haziv, Israel) has been named to the Collegiate Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America's (CSCAA) Scholar All-America second team for his work both in the pool and in the classroom this year. It is the highest academic honor the CSCAA awards to collegiate swimmers
In order to earn Scholar All-America honors, student-athletes must achieve a minimum grade point average of 3.50 or higher during the academic year or semester coinciding with their national championship. To earn second team status as Baer did, the individual must also post an NCAA "B" time standard in the pool.
