NORMAL, Ill. – Four singles decision went the way of the Purple Aces women's tennis along with two doubles matches as the University of Evansville completed the opening day of the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Tournament on Saturday.
Top singles featured Diana Tkachenko defeating Valparaiso's Claire Czerwonka, 6-3, 6-4. Also picking up a win on Saturday in the fourth flight was Andrea Pascual-Larrinaga. She defeated Malini Wijesinghe of Bradley, 6-4, 6-2. Saturday Results In the fifth flight, Nicoli Pereira picked up the win over Valentina Caro of UNI, 6-3, 7-5. Theodora Soldatou was also victorious on Saturday as she beat Savanna Hunt of the Panthers, 6-0, 6-2.
