EVANSVILLE – Weather swept into the Evansville area on Wednesday night and the University of Evansville baseball team was forced to suspend the opening game of its series with Missouri State at Charles H. Braun Stadium.
After storming to a 3-0 lead on hits from Craig Shepherd and Korbin Williams, the Aces (13-27) fell behind in the fourth as the Bears (28-13) pushed across seven runs before the game was suspended in the top of the fourth.
Patrick Schnieders is currently on the hook for the decision. The Westphalia, Mo., native started off well, striking out four over the first two innings before the Bears hopped on him with the seven-run fourth.
