EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Following her fifth shutout of the season, University of Evansville sophomore goalkeeper Michaela Till was named Missouri Valley Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced in a release by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
In Sunday's match against UNI, Till made six saves and provided the biggest stop of the day in the seventh round of penalty kicks. After saving the Panthers' attempt in the sixth round to prolong the PKs, freshman Amanda DaSilva converted her penalty kick, putting the Aces ahead 3-2. As UNI needed to find the back of the net to continue the match, Till made a diving save to her right, securing the ball, sending the Aces to the semifinals of the MVC Championship.
