EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville swimming and diving teams begin their seasons this weekend with a home meet against Southern Illinois.
On Friday at 4 p.m., the Purple Aces and Salukis will complete the diving portion of the meet. The swimmers take their turn in the pool on Saturday at 11 a.m. and will be a relay format with events unique to the meet.
Returning for the women's team is senior Michaela Kent, who is the defending Missouri Valley Conference Champion in the 100 Backstroke. Also returning to the squad is junior Courtney Coverdale, who took second place in the 1-Meter and fourth in the 3-Meter in last year's MVC Championship.
