Charleston, Ill. -- The Purple Aces swimming and diving teams started off their weekend on a successful note with two wins against Eastern Illinois.
The final score for the women's team was 145 points with Eastern Illinois at 59. The men scored 115 points to the Panthers 90.
"Great meet. I am excited with wins," said head coach Rickey Perkins. "However, I am more excited with the way we performed. A lot of the skills we worked on this week were executed very well. We are looking forward to tomorrow's meet. Hopefully we will be better than than we were today.
