Strong second half leads Aces past Belmont

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Ryan Koenig and Zac Blaydes each found the back of the net on Tuesday night as the University of Evansville men's soccer team picked up a 2-0 non-conference victory over Belmont at E.S. Rose Park.

The Aces, who have now won seven games for the first time since 2013, put an end to a four-match winless streak to improve to 7-6-2 overall. Belmont, on the other hand, dropped to 1-11-3 on the year.

The two sides traded opportunities over the course of the first half, with Mikey Matic nearly opening the scoring early on with a free header in the box.
