EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Following a 10-game non-conference slate, the University of Evansville women's soccer team opens Missouri Valley Conference play with a matchup with Indiana State at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at Arad McCutchan Stadium.
"They're confident right now, I would imagine, winning six games and getting some results," said Aces' women's soccer head coach Krista McKendree. "I don't think anything different is going to happen, They're always a gritty team that fights, they just have a better record than they have had in year's past to this point.
The Purple Aces are coming off a weekend that saw UE earn a 2-2 double-overtime tie with Purdue Fort Wayne on Friday before falling in a hard-fought match to Saint Louis, 1-0, on Sunday, Against Purdue Fort Wayne, Evansville jumped out to a 2-0 lead before the Mastodon scored twice to tie the match at two in the draw.
