Lois Patton: Reflecting on her career

On September 8, Lois D. Patton Court will officially be named inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse. Patton has enjoyed over 50 years of work for the University of Evansville and took the time to reflect on her career and what this honor means to her. Along with Ida Stieler, Patton was pivotal to the start of organized women's athletics at the university. Little did she know what her work would lead to, culminating in a floor in her name being unveiled in a game against Indiana University.

A native of Harrisburg, Ill., Patton spent time in Texas prior to coming back home.
