ST. LOUIS – In a weekend that saw her average 6.86 digs per set, University of Evansville redshirt senior Gabriela Macedo was named the Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week. It is the second time Macedo has received the honor in 2019.
"Gabi has been working hard to get wins and she knows the more balls she digs the more chances we will have to score points," Aces coach Fernando Morales said. "She does whatever she needs to do to put us in position to win matches and she is doing a great job.
