OLD HICKORY, Tenn. - The University of Evansville men's golf team opened the Big Blue Intercollegiate in sixth after the first round at The President's Reserve at Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tenn.
The Purple Aces recorded their fifth-best opening round of the season with a first-round 296 at the intercollegiate. Leading the tournament after the first round is UT Martin , who tallied an opening-round 287 to lead the way.
A freshman and a senior led the way for Evansville in the first round as Spencer Wagner and Tyler Gray each carded two-over 73s in the first round to place Gray and Wagner in a tie for 10th.
