ST. LOUIS – Senior David Howard has excelled in the classroom and on the floor and was recognized on Thursday for his accomplishments as he was named to the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete First Team.
The Accounting Major from Nashville, Tenn. had one of the top GPA's on the University of Evansville men's basketball team, sitting at 3.56. It was also the second-highest among those named to the First Team.
Howard has enjoyed the best year of his career in 2016-17, setting career highs in all categories during the season, highlighted by a career-best 21 points earlier this season against Drake.
