EVANSVILLE, Ind. - At its home event, the University of Evansville men's and women's cross country teams each closed the regular season with top five finishes at the UE Invitational at Angel Mounds State Historic Site in Evansville.
The Purple Aces' women's team picked-up a second-place finish at the invitational, while the men's team finished in fourth among the nine-team field.
Leading the way for Evansville's women was sophomore Anna Lowry who capped off a tremendous regular season with a fourth-place finish in a time of 18:08.2. Lowry ran with the front pack for much of the 5-kilometer race, finishing just 21 seconds behind the individual champion.
