EVANSVILLE – Friday evening's University of Evansville baseball game with Northern Illinois was shaping up to be a competitive contest at Charles H. Braun Stadium, but its conclusion will have to wait as heavy rain swept into the Evansville area in the bottom of the seventh.
The Aces, who trailed 2-1 in the contest, will pick up their game with the Huskies on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. Saturday's originally scheduled game two will resume after the conclusion of the first game.
A first inning groundout by NIU's Jacob Dunham brought home the opening run, and the Huskies went on to add another on a Tommy Szczasny single in the third.
