Aces' strong rally falls short in loss to Redbirds

Box Score EVANSVILLE, Ind. - After trailing by 20 at the break, the University of Evansville women's basketball team battled back into the game, but came up just short in a 72-61 loss to Illinois State on Sunday afternoon inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse.

For the second-straight game, senior Kerri Gasper led Evansville, scoring 17 points and recording eight rebounds. Also finishing in double-figures for the Aces were freshman Makayla Wallace with 13 points and senior Marley Miller, who finished with 12 points. Leading the way for the Redbirds, TeTe Maggett recorded 26 points, six assists, and four rebounds, while Simone Goods also scored in double-digits with 16 points.
