EVANSVILLE – With just one week of practice under its belt, the University of Evansville women's soccer team will open 2017 on Wednesday with an exhibition contest against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville at Arad McCutchan Stadium at 7 p.m.
The Aces return to the pitch following a 4-12-3 record in 2016. For the third-straight season, UE advanced to the Missouri Valley Conference tournament championship game, falling to top-seeded Illinois State University, 3-1.
Evansville returns three veteran forwards in seniors Nicki Baham and Montana Portenier and junior Sara Osinski. The trio has amassed 13 goals in their combined seven years.
