EVANSVILLE, Ind. - After opening its conference slate with two wins, the University of Evansville women's soccer team looks to continue its strong start when it hosts UNI at 6 p.m. on Friday night at Arad McCutchan Stadium.
The Purple Aces are coming-off their second-straight MVC win, earning a 1-0 triumph over Valparaiso last Saturday night. Both sides spent periods of the early part of the match in which they put pressure on the other, but it was not until the 43rd minute that Evansville found its breakthrough. After senior Molly Lear played a ball into the box that deflected off a defender, freshman Alex Eyler took the ball and dribbled around a defender, finding the back of the net to push the Aces ahead, 1-0.
