MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The University of Evansville women's golf team opened its spring with the first round at the Alabama State Spring Kickoff at Lagoon Park Golf Course in Montgomery, Ala.
Evansville recorded a 332 as a team to begin the two-day tournament putting the Aces fourth among the five-team field. Leading the spring kickoff is Alabama State who shot a nine-over 297 as a team earning the Yellow Jackets a 29-stroke lead over the field.
The Aces were led by junior Madison Chaney who fired an opening-round 79 to place her in a tie for 10th among the 28-golfer field.
