CHESTERTON, Ind. - Making a charge in the final round, the University of Evansville women's golf team moved up two spots on Tuesday to close the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Championships at Sand Creek Country Club in Chesterton, Ind.
The Aces earned a seventh-place finish at the championships, improving their position by two places on the final day, finishing with a total of 930 (307-320-303). Capturing the MVC Championship was Southern Illinois, who finished the tournament with a three-round total of 905 (300-299-306), seven strokes in front of second-place UNI.
Leading Evansville was sophomore Sophia Rohleder, who closed the tournament with a final-round 77 for a total of 226 (74-75-77).
