Aces battle back late in road loss at Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Finishing its MVC-opening weekend, the University of Evansville women's basketball team dropped an 88-66 loss to Missouri State on Sunday afternoon in Springfield, Mo.

Four Purple Aces finished the contest in double-figures as freshman A'Niah Griffin set a career-high and senior Marley Miller tallied her fourth-straight double-figure game, each recording 12 points. Joining Griffin and Miller in double-digits were senior Kerri Gasper and freshman Makayla Wallace who each score 10 points on the afternoon with Wallace setting a career-high with her performance. Pacing the Bears, Alexa Willard scored a game-high 25 points, going 11-15 from the field, in 24 minutes on the floor.
