EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The University of Evansville baseball team got back into Missouri Valley Conference play in winning fashion, grinding out a hard-fought 6-2 victory over that arch-rivals to the north, Saturday night at Charles H. Braun Stadium.
"I'm just so proud of our team", said University of Evansville head coach Wes Carroll. "That was a championship effort from the pitching, to the defense, to the grind-it-out at-bats."
The Sycamores grabbed a quick 1-0 in the second inning, however that would be the only blemish on the Aces' junior starting pitcher Adam Lukas through the first five innings.
