INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- After going three and out on their opening drives the past two games, the San Francisco 49ers started Sunday's proceedings against the Los Angeles Rams on a much better note.
After running back Jordan Mason did most of the heavy lifting, the Niners moved quickly into Rams territory to set up a first-and-10 at the Los Angeles 13. Quarterback Brock Purdy faked a toss to running back Isaac Guerendo, rolled to his right, scanned the field and found a wide-open Jauan Jennings in the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown.
