There are hurdles ahead, not the least of which is the depth now on the Edmonton Oilers blue-line.
But Brandon Davidson won’t be deterred by a challenge.
“I’ll be fighting like a dog for anything I can get,” he said on Thursday after signing a one-year, two-way contract with Edmonton.
The Oilers have now finalized all contractual details with their restricted free agents. Defenceman Justin Schultz signed a one-year $3.9-million contract on Wednesday, avoiding arbitration, and winger Tyler Pitlick signed his qualifying offer Thursday.
This will be a pivotal season for Pitlick, who has a one-year, two-way deal and who has struggled to gain any traction because of injuries.
