Paul Kukla: Edmonton Oilers and NHL fans alike had to feel a bit squeamish. Connor McDavid’s left leg hammers right into the post. Consider the speed at which the center skates and it took several minutes to get him off the ice. McDavid placed zero weight on the left leg. Obviously, he did not return Saturday night and now the wait to see the prognosis. Early X-rays were negative for what it is worth. MRI expected on Sunday or Monday.
