The Edmonton Oilers suffered their third straight loss last night facing off against the Tampa Bay Lightning. To be frank, it was to be expected since the Oilers have been in a slump as of late. Also facing off against the best team in the league at the top of their game wasn’t going to help their chances in winning the game.
It would have been a miracle if the Oilers did pull off the upset win, but it wasn’t meant to be. The path for that wild card spot has just gone a bit narrower as the losses keep piling up for this franchise.
