Oklahoma City wins 6th-longest game in AHL history over Utica (Puck Daddy)

Hey, remember Jacob Markstrom?

The goalie who couldn’t break through in Florida, was traded to Vancouver in the Roberto Luongo deal and then couldn’t break through with the Canucks, eventually getting dropped through waivers to the AHL?

Well, he made 66 saves in the sixth-longest game in American Hockey League history on Thursday night.

Alas, it was in a losing effort – Utica lost 2-1 at home to the Oklahoma City Barons in quadruple overtime, as Curtis Hamilton scored just 16 seconds into the fourth OT period to give the Edmonton Oilers affiliate the victory in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal series.
