The Edmonton Oilers announced today, they have signed goaltender Cam Talbot to a three-year contract extension.
Talbot, 28, has appeared in 26 games this season, posting a 2.58 goals against average, a .914 save percentage and one shutout. Talbot has started 11 of the Oilers last 12 games, accumulating a 1.79 goals against average and a.939 save percentage, including his first shutout as an Oiler on January 4 against the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Caledonia, Ontario native has appeared in 83 career NHL games, registering a 41-28-8 record, a 2.18 goals against average, .926 save percentage and nine shutouts.
