The Edmonton Oilers have signed goaltender Jonas Gustavsson to a one-year contract.
Gustavsson, 31, appeared in 24 games last season with the Boston Bruins, posting an 11-9-1 record, a 2.72 goals against average, a .908 save percentage and one shutout.
The 6’4”, 201-pound netminder has accumulated a 71-64-22 record, a 2.87 goals against average, a .902 save percentage and seven shutouts in 172 career NHL games.
The Danderyd, Sweden native has represented his country several times internationally, most recently at the 2010 World Hockey Championship and 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He has also played for Sweden at the 2009 World Hockey Championship.
